About

I’m a journalist based in New York with six years of newsroom experience in Italy and three freelancing around the world. I’ve reported from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Algeria, Western Sahara, US, Finland, Italy, and the Gonâve Microplate for publications such as The Guardian, Le Monde, Foreign Policy, National Geographic, Al Jazeera, The Intercept, Jeune Afrique, Atlas Obscura, New Lines Magazine, Thrillist, and several Italian newspapers including Lettera43 and Domani. I speak English, Italian, and intermediate Spanish; I take my own pictures with a camera and a drone. I have two Masters in Journalism - Catholic University in Milan (2015) and Columbia University in New York (2022) - and an obsession for maps. I cover whatever I find interesting, which is usually related to the Middle East but not exclusively.
